Motivation for going back to college after break?

I am a first semester freshman. First semester was ok. It had its ups and downs. Grades were ok. I expected to do better, but I got what I got.

Break is coming to a close and I don’t feel like going back. Now before anyone rushes to a conclusion let me say I feel like it’s a temporary thing. I’m not going to enroll in a community college closer to home or etc. It’s just when I think about going back and seeing all the work I have to do it feels daunting. There’s so many classes to take and to study for and etc. Does anyone have any advice to offer or can anyone share their experiences? Thanks.

It’s always hard to go back. It’s hard to go back and do anything that requires work. I’m going back for semester four tomorrow[second semester sophomore]. The urge to stay home still remains, but school is a part of life[after that it’s a job, etc]. I’ve been one to think about the next break so that it makes it slightly easier to go back. Rather than focusing what has passed, I focus on what I have to look forward to when I finished the semester coming up[at the moment Spring Break and Summer plans].
