Motivation

What motivates you to work out? I wanna work out and get bigger and all but i have no motivation to do so. The best I can come up with is spring break in april but for some reason that’s not good enough.

if you really have no motivation to…then who cares. if you’re just coming up with reasons then maybe you should find something else to spend your energy on.

hahaha you do have a point but I mean there ain’t much else to spend my energy on.

think about University of Tampa and all beatiful beaches

anyway, i have no motivation to work and see no reason to do so.
so i dont -_-

haha dreaming, you’re so right. I guess I could use that, not to be the skinny guy, but possibly the hunk.

To become healthier. You don’t have to just weight lift youc an switch it up with running and swimming. Also try to vary your routine so that it doesn’t become just that: a routine. alright I’m going to lift now.

haha well how does one do that. I mean I want bigger pecs, biceps, triceps, you know, the works. How does it not become a routine. I mean I’m usually good about wokrin out for 2 or so weeks then i just lose motivation for like 3 or 4 weeks then i go back to wokring out. It’s a vicious cycle.

Yeah I lost track after getting sick this semester and last semester it was a week of tests. One week use machines then try free weights. Friends to work out with with the same fitness goals helps too. Just set some times and dates and stick to them no matter what. I try early in the morning b/c I am most likely to actually want to do it then. Everyone is different. Go on exercise sites like askmen.com and they will give you good routines and work out tips or at least ideas for some. I also select times for running and swimming. I’m just getting back on track so I will update to tell you how I’m keeping motivated or not. As an engineer with 2 jobs sometimes class and work just interfere and that sucks.

yeah i know. The only thing is, I’m not a huge fan of working out in gyms with other people. I just don’t like making those faces in fornt of other people, i dunno haha. I have freeweights at my house and all and usually I’m good w/ that.

Well you’re a guy, but there’s my girlie motivation: Seeing fat girls (they like to call themselves voluptuous) who like to wear minimal clothing, which is skin tight and bares all. I’m sure I’ll never dress like that, but I sure don’t want their bodies.

Second, I pay around $20 something for my gym membership, so I make it a point to go at least once a week at the very minmimum so my money doesn’t go to waste. (paid gym memberships work)

Third, I feel good after working out. It helps me unwind. Sometimes I can’t even get started on homework unless I’ve “unwinded” with a gym workout.

Given that half my week seems to be spent in the dojang at the moment, I don’t need that much motivation! (7 weeks to TKD black belt…)
