So I bought my first motorcycle and I am wondering how much insurance I should get on it. It’s a 2002 Vulcan 500 (entry cruiser). The KBB value is ~$1900.

I’m a 20 year old male who has taken the MSF course. I just want to make sure I’m safe from legal trouble if the situation arises. I’m thinking of getting

100/300/100 Bodily Insurance
50/100/25 UIM
No Medical
$100 Comprehensive
No Collision

Altogether that is $150 a year from Progressive. I’m still in some legal cautious from an accident I got into when I was 17, so I guess it has made me extra skittish with insurance. I have 100/300/100 on my car, so I assume it should be the same for a motorcycle?

UIM I was unsure of. I’m guessing this is a good amount. Or is it overkill?

Too much, too little, other thoughts? Thanks.
