Move-in question

I have a couple of questions regarding move-in.

1) I assume there’s a mad rush to get into dorms in the morning? When does it begin to lighten up if you want to avoid the rush?

2) For a double in Priestley, is there any real benefit to getting to the room first?

2) Does Cal provide you with a dolly to carry your stuff?

Thanks.

I think it’ll clear up by 12-1.

Since you’re a double, it doesn’t really matter what time you come.

They do provide you with carts. You’ll need to leave your Cal1Card or ID with them.

Thank you for the response. We appreciate it.

No problem!

The double room should be symmetric so thankfully there is no pressure to come early and take the good spots like in a triple.

Does anyone know if Foothill provides TP for the bathrooms in suites, and trash bags? Is there enough lighting in the rooms, or does one need to bring a desk or floor lamp? Thanks for any insights from experienced students!

All bathrooms include toilet paper, but trash bags are not provided (they weren’t for my room at least). Most people do buy a desk lamp and I feel it is useful but a floor lamp is definitely not necessary for the room although the common rooms are generally very dark.

Toiletries are provided by the management. You’ll all be given a locker to put your shampoo, soap, etc…

I definitely recommend a desk lamp because it’ll be very dark at your desk area without one. A floor lamp is unnecessary unless you want more light in the room.

Except for toilet paper, you bring your own toiletries.
