My family is flying in to Austin on Friday the 19th (my move in date) and they’re staying with my aunts and uncles in Austin for a couple of days until I’m completely settled.

Would it be practical if I go stay with them after I move in until maybe the 20th? I know we have a mandatory wing meeting but does anyone know when that is? Is there anything else that I might possibly miss?

It shouldn’t be a problem. When you move in, there will probably be a little note on your door that says when and where the wing meeting will be, and your aunt and uncle can just take you to campus then. There shouldn’t be anything else, though I guess your RA might plan a small social event or something. I stayed with my parents for two nights in a hotel after I moved in.

You probably won’t miss anything. People don’t really start socializing until the day before school starts, and also the week after school starts.

Thanks!

@bruiedalie Typically, what day is the wing meeting? I’m moving in on the first day so I don’t know if the wing meeting/socials would be that same day or not…?

Sent from my HTC Vision using CC App

Haha I know you didn’t ask me, but the general idea is that they can’t hold wing meetings until everyone is moved in. So, your wing meeting won’t be until Monday the 22nd at the very earliest.

@sodequake Ah! Thanks so much haha sorry I didnt specifically address you but buriedalie posted specifically about the wing meetings so I asked her

Thanks though!
