<p>We moved our son into Landis last Friday. He tried out for the “Big 8” (Marching Chiefs percussion), but was cut after pre-auditions Friday afternoon. Out of the 15 warm-ups (audition music) he was given, he felt comfortable with all but two. Of course, one of the two he was asked to play was one of the problem pieces. Oh well, he was still able to move into the dorm on Friday and has decided to get a jump looking for a part time job before everyone else arrives Wednesday. We also thought it was really nice of the veteran Marching Chief members to run around the different dorms and help carry boxes. </p>
