Moved senior year

I moved in the beginning of my senior year to another country’s international school,
and ever since then my gpa has dropped overall. I was told by my
old school counselor that my gpa from 9th-11th grades was 93%, which was
pretty decent. However after moving and social issues involved, my gpa has dropped
considerably with mostly B+ s on core subjects and A-/As only on electives. I’ve been attending international schools for my entire high school life.

Do 1st semester senior grades have as much weight as the 9-11th grades? I was hoping that my moving schools during such an important time would somehow make colleges consider.
Any thoughts/opinions?

bump bump

smoothsleep, I am on the inter-continental, 8000km away boat :p

However, my grades didn’t slip. Let’s see how adcoms take this. I would like to see how this thread progresses.

^hmm, dont know what you mean by ‘boat’ and no offense but i didnt ask whether your grades slipped or not. my question is whether senior grades are weighted more/less than the years before’s.

Normally senior grades receive the highest weight as they are most representative of who you are now.

I am not sure how yours will be treated since it could go either way. You went through a huge transition at an important time in your life and therefore you’ll be cut slack, or you went through a transition similar to what will happen next year and you couldn’t handle it.
