<p>I have to tell you, I’m not a movie person. I go to them occasionally, but I don’t like crowds, and I never remember the plots after only one sitting. However…</p>

<p>A group of D’s team-mates who spend the night at our house when in transit brought the DVD of “Walk the Line” when they visited last year, and then brought it again some months later. They were all rapt, and I watched some of it as I was doing mom stuff in the background. It has recently been on one of our local free cable channels, and I’ve had it going on in the background for several evenings now. I even sat down and watched it in its entirety. What an incredible movie. What an incredible link to history. One little piece: did you know that the guy who did that incredible performance as Jerry Lee Lewis was actually the son of people who were on tour with Johnny Cash in that era? That his godfather was Waylon Jennings, who was portrayed in a short scene? Too much connectivity to mention. Did you know that June Carter’s daughter Carlene ended up married to Nick Lowe? Tying things in with my new wave background. Will the circle be unbroken? It is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, and both the leads deserved Oscars. </p>

<p>Also late to the party, as usual, I just saw “The Illusionist.” I will have to see that over and over again, too. Always feel free to ask me who should have won the Oscar two years ago.</p>

<p>Mudders–I couldn’t take my eyes off of Edward Norton in “The Illusionist.” He was absolutely mesmerizing…what the role called for.</p>

<p>I haven’t seen “The Illusionist” yet. My favorite Norton movie is “The Score”. As an added bonus, you also get Robert De Niro and Marlon Brando.</p>

<p>I won’t repeat the great ones already listed, but I will just add some of my favorites:</p>

<p>Roman Holiday - the setting and ah, the young Audrey Hepburn!</p>

<p>Out of Africa - the beautiful cinematography and Streep at her best!</p>

<p>Romeo and Juliet (Zeffirelli’s version and the cast was MADE for it). Funny how in its time (1968) it got lukewarm reviews – but now, it seems everybody has discovered just what a masterpiece it is.</p>

<p>To Catch a Thief - fabulous location, and one could not take one’s eyes off Grace Kelly.</p>

<p>Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - just too funny.</p>

<p>French Kiss - Ah, l’amour!</p>
