Moving plants back outside -oops

DH moved the big houseplants back outside this week and did not harden them off. They are looking kind of sad. I came home and found them with some pale whitish wilty leaves and one with yellowish leaves. I looked up what he should have done and he didn’t do any of the things they say.

Does anyone know if there is any repair or hope for them?

what did it say he should have done?

Make sure they’re not dried out (but don’t overwater), keep them in complete shade for a week or so, and keep your fingers crossed. They should be fine.

Any white flies? Aphids? Rust or mildew? Soil smells OK?

Try to half gallon of warm water, 1-crushed, adult multivitamin, high in iron and calcium. 2-tablespoons of sugar either brown or white, 1-pinch of of borax soap, 2-adult sized uncoated aspirin. Shake well to dissolve and disperse (not everything will dissolve) and water plants to drip. Do daily. Keep pot out of drafts and warm in the evenings. Call me in 4 days if no change. If you suspect bugs in the soil, add a tobacco from one cigarette to the water and let steep for 15 minutes before administering to plant.

Sunburn is a big risk for leafy plants moved too soon outside, especially for broad leaved house plants. But they do recover.

In this case, the whitish leaves sound like sunburn. The yellowed leaves sound like overwatering.

Ok thanks. I am having him move them into the shade. The over watering is all the rain we are getting
Glad to hear they can recover.
