Mrs. Washington Goes to Smith

Love the title! (and I always enjoy Cybil Shepherd’s work.)

I had not heard of this and now I cannot wait to see it. Thank you sharing the information.

Cool! But why is she wearing pearls (if the photo is from the movie, the story is not happening in the 1930s since her bag and its contents look modern?)? Doesn’t she know that jeans are OK ;)?

I think those were her interview clothes. (And, yes, there are still occasional twinsets with pearls on the Smith campus - they go very well with flipflops in the snow, nose rings, and tattoos. ;))

LOL - I gave my women’s college student a pearl strand as a “gag” birthday gift last year  She ROFL when she saw it; now she says it complements her fleece coat and flip-flops.

I put this on my calendar and I will watch!

That’s a wonderful story, mini! I’ll try to remember to bookmark time to see this movie. It sounds wonderful. I think it’s great the way the women’s colleges have made the commitment to older women wishing to return to collegiate life. Bryn Mawr has a similar program called, McBride Scholars.
