<p>Is MS in Production Management a business degree or more like an engineering degree? Are positions in this degree in high demand or very low?</p>

<p>I’m sure they could have such a degree in either school, but to address the business degree, it is very process oriented and should include concepts that would be familiar to engineers. Like engineering, this field often deals with the nitty gritty (aka distribution centers, factories, refineries, etc) and it is likely that you would work with many engineers upon graduation (I would guess generally work with more engineers than businessmen).</p>
<p>BTW, one can also get into this field with an MBA. Some MBAs from top schools go into Strategic Consulting in the area of Operations.</p>
