Mse 2001

Does anyone have any tips/thoughts on MSE 2001 (Engineering Materials)?

I took it as an ME major.

It's a pretty average class in terms of difficulty. Read the book, do all the example problems the professor assigns, and all that business, and you should be fine.

I have yet to use anything learned in the class. It ties in with things learned in COE 3001 (Def bods), but is not needed to do well in the actual class.

MSE 2001 is usually a pretty fun class and not difficult. My only tip is to take it as an offset to an otherwise difficult semester. The material you learn in that class might not be something you'll use in other classes (excepting defbods) but a good knowledge of material properties and applications will make you a better engineer.

it's not a difficult class and you don't really need it for your other classes, but it's a nice intro class to MSE. If you can, try to take it with Gall, good professor, easy grading, and easy to learn.
