MSU or GMU?

I live in northern virginia and recently got accepted into Michigan State and George Mason. If those were my only two choices which would be better? Since I would have to pay out of state tuition for michigan would it be worth it to goto Michigan or should i just goto george mason despite the lack of social life that i hear about gmu.

East Lansing (MSU) has a great atmosphere. The kids are great, all nice, and all friendly. (and the girls are… pretty, lots of school pride in sports, etc). If you go to MSU, you’ll have a great time making new friends and your education won’t be that bad. MSU’s education is slightly better than George Mason, but here’s the catch. MSU will most likely cost you 15000$ (since you’re instate at George Mason and OOS at MSU) more per year. If you’re willing to pay 60000$ more for college or your parents are rich and can afford it, I would recommend going to MSU. If you can’t just go to George Mason. Its not a bad school afterall…

James Madison College is an excellent public policy college at Michigan State University. [James Madison College](http://www.jmc.msu.edu/)
