MSW or MPP?

What is the difference between a MSW Program and a MPP Program?

I know the requirements for admission are often more rigorous for MPP Programs.

However, what is the difference in the standard curriculum and future career paths?

MPP curriculum is more quantitative and political-focused (domestic or international). You can focus on any policy area (health, science, environmental, NGOs, state/local/federal govt, etc.)

MSW curriculum is more evidence-based practice, and there are two tracks: clinical (counseling with individuals and groups, psychotherapy, case management, etc.) or macro (administration, policy and planning, community organization).

Both degrees are flexible. Pick the program that will help you get the job you desire.
