MT programs between "reach" and "safety"?

Finalizing out audition list for my D who is proficient in all 3 categories, but a highly trained dancer. Academically, she has a weighted GPA of 3.97, unweighted 3.93. Her ACT composite is 29, she is a strong writer. Below is the list we’ve come up with to date. She is auditioning at Carnegie Mellon just for the experience, with no expectation of being accepted. She is auditioning at Milliken, just for the experience with no intention of going there. So we have the top and bottom covered  I’m worried we still have too many schools that would be a reach and not many “middle ground”. She would like a conservatory type program, but one attached to a traditional campus would be ideal from a social and possibly a financial perspective (academic scholarship) And of course, a school that would nurture her dance training.

Thank you!

The List:

Cincinnati Conservatory
University of Utah
Miami

Penn State
Carnegie Mellon
BOCO

if called back:

Many people will caution that no audition-based program should ever be considered a “safety school” in the MT world. For many reasons, including type, very small admitted class sizes at most schools, the subjective nature of the evaluation process, the large number of very talented applicants, etc., even the most talented kids may still get rejections from programs where they perceived that they had a high probability of acceptance.

You may want to consider adding at least one non-audition program to your list.

You do have many programs (8!) that are among the most competitive in the nation on your list: Michigan, CCM, Penn State, Boco, CMU, Texas State, Otterbein (very small class).

Not saying that any of these schools are any less competitive than the ones on your list, per se, but you may want to consider some of these programs (they are all audition-based with very solid reputations or have emerging reps, as far as I know, but I am not an expert):
