MTV-Filled Day

Well, if you guy’s don’t already know, I volunteer for Undergraduate Admissions. Today (4/21) I helped with registration of visiting students for UC Davis Welcome. Well it just so happens that today, a girl who was (or is going to be) on the MTV show My Super Sweet Sixteen attended the event. It was funny because the camera men immediately passed out disclosure forms to whoever was filmed. Too bad I wasn’t one of them :(.

Also, it just so happens that I was volunteering next to one of the cast contestants on the MTV show “Miss 17.” If you click on this page:

http://www.mtv.com/onair/miss_17/cast.jhtml

Just look for the girl with “UC Davis” listed as her school.

So that was my day. May not be very interesting, but I thought it was.

wow, how interesting i didnt know this. no wonder i saw this professional cameraman shooting his camera near the pavillion entrance. i think they caught me a little but i just walked right out. are they gonna show this?

haha oh gosh, sweet 16… i hate those girls.

If I were you, I would’ve smacked the My Super Sweet Sixteen girl. It’s probably a good thing I’m not you.

They’re all so soo soo…i can’t say it because th moderators will asterik me out…

wasn’t one of the sororities at davis on an mtv show? that’s pretty cool how davis of all places is on mtv so much. but i actually attended one of the sweet sixteen parties (the triplets from fremont since i live in that area). they are a friend of my friend so my friend decided to take me along with her to the party. it was hilarious b/c these girls didn’t really have that many real friends so mtv had to bring in extras to make it look like more people were there. i definately cannot stand any of the girls on that show. i feel like slapping them in the face and then putting them out on the street so they get a clue.

Not many friends, eh? I wonder why…

I think it’s amusing because…I mean, honestly…why would those girls purposely make such fools of themselves on national television? If I were them, I wouldn’t do something like that for a billion dollars…don’t they realize that the show’s purpose is not to immortalize them, but rather to HUMOR the rest of the nation with their antics? They’re like monkeys in a cage.

But haha, that’s cool that MTV was there handing out disclosure papers. I wonder what would happen if everyone refused to sign them. They’d have to censor out the faces, I bet. XD

I just looked up this episode description on MTV (because I live in Fremont and I was curious), and it was unintentionally the funniest thing I’ve read all week: http://www.mtv.com/onair/dyn/sweet_16/episode.jhtml?episodeID=90353

“Finally, they thank their dad for their amazing $80,000 birthday bash to remember!”

It’s hilarious, in a pitiful kinda way.

Knowing MTV they’ll blur the UC Davis signs.

…Dude. That could pay for my feckin’ college education. What the hell.

You guys should see the episode with LA Reid’s son. Ridiculous.

What about the girl who’s dad paid 50,000$ to rent a house for one freaking night. Paid probably a ton of money for a nobody singer to sing one song, half the party it looked like they were trying to keep the party crashers out.

Don’t even get me started on the coffee koolotta girl.

If it were my party we would hook it up with a couple of 5-5-5’s from dominos, some 24 packs of pepsi.maybe some cake and you could give the rediculous 50,000 or 100,000 $ whatever and I would save or invest it. what a waste of money. ahhh.

here is a link to the coffee koolotta girl.http://www.mtv.com/onair/dyn/sweet_16/episode.jhtml?episodeID=90352

Dude, Sandkicks–total agreement. I saw that show. Whata*****, hahaha.

As for me? Dude, give half of that money to charity and put the other half in the damn bank so that I can amass enough money to start investing in real estate!

I was at davis for picnic day today, and saw the girl from sweet 16, Ava with all the cameras and weird camerawoman. she’s actually the cousin of a girl i know, so i saw her at my prom last night… no cameras.

Oh yeah, hahahahahaha I forgot about the episode where the Girl are whoever party it was. Was making a big deal that Pauley Shore was at her party. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, wow. Incredible.

yea i saw them filming her at the honors presentation during Welcome Day.

She seems really lame and her presence at a presentation regarding the HONORS program is questionable.

No offense, but being rich does not equal being dumb. For all you know, she could’ve gotten a 4.0 and 2300.

Girls on “sweet 16” are dumb, there is no question about it.
I don’t really care if they spend 50 - 150k on bday and presents, I guess it’s cool. The thing I don’t like is that those girls don’t appreciate their parents and money.

^ the worst was that half black girl, i forget her name… ill find her on mtv.com

this one:http://www.mtv.com/onair/dyn/sweet_16/episode.jhtml?episodeID=90352
