<p>Just to make this waiting month a bit spicy, will CC’s Mudders tell me about some interesting pranks you carried out lately. OK, except that ‘case of kidnapped cannon’ please. I wanted to find out the winner among MIT, Caltech and Mudd.</p>

<p>I’ve only done one prank myself.</p>

<p>While my suitemates were gone for a class, a couple of us snuck into their room and removed all of their stuff except for the beds, one dresser, and a minifridge. We then knocked one of the sides off one of the beds so that it slumped down, and put it in series with the other bed so as to make the shape of sinking boat with a crack down the middle. We used prepared materials to then convert this structure into the Titanic (including silos). We covered to the floor in blue saran wrap for a sea effect. And finally we put the minifridge on top of the dresser and wrapped it in toilet paper to make it into an iceberg.</p>

<p>This was all done in about 45 minutes (one of them came back early so we had to rush the last 2 parts)</p>

<p>And I dont think there is a prank that will top the cannon one. I mean, it was so good that MIT copied it 20 years later.</p>

<p>the guys downstairs removed everything from their frosh’s room and poured ~500 pounds concrete around a keg in a mold in their room. the end result was a full keg stuck in a huge concrete block that had to be chiseled away to be moved out the door.</p>

<p>Here’s a prank my son’s roommate/suitemates pulled on him: last summer his roommate who was on staff of facilities and maintenance called and said there was yellow caution tape around his room, seems there was mold discovered. Then we get a letter from the president saying that he would temporarily have to live in a different room when he arrived on campus. When he got to campus (fairly late in the evening) he ended up having to sleep in the lounge of another dorm. The next day all was revealed - a great prank! (had me going!)</p>
