Multiple family members working at Harvard

Despite having no intentions of applying to Harvard, I was wondering how would having more than one relative working at Harvard influence your chances? (if it does at all) I have multiple direct relatives who work as researchers there.

I haven’t done much research about Harvard and have no idea what their perceptions would be toward an applicant in a similar situation. I’d just be curious to know your thoughts.

I think it would possibly give you an upper hand and maybe an additional look at your application.

I honestly don’t see how it could have any favorable effect whatsoever.

xrCalico23, that what I was assuming, I feel that it would act as tipping point for a competitive applicant with an exemplary application.

What if I was to say one of them is a Nobel Peace prize winner, would that change somethings?

I don’t think so, since Nobel Peace Prizes aren’t exactly family heirlooms that are handed down from generation to generation.

You can certainly have them write a good handful of recommendations for you, which would indubiously make you a luckyass mother****er.

Malia, is that you?

I apologize varska, I don’t know who that is.

I appreciate all your comments and thoughts!

I think Malia is Obama’s daughter. Obama was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize this year.

^and was heavily criticized for it too

The Obama girls would get harvard acceptances before they even apply. They might be pressured to reject the offer though because of political scrutiny.
