Early Decision vs. Early Action:

I’m aware what early decision and early action are, but my main question is whether colleges look at you from a different perspective in either one.

If I applied for early decision rather than early action, would that change my chance of getting into a designated college?

The main reason I’m asking is because I’m really interested in a school, but in reality, it’s practically on the other end of the country.

Family Members:

My other question is about applying to colleges that family members went to.
If my dad went to a certain school and got three degrees, would that have any effect on my college application?

Unweighted Gpa Vs. Weighted Gpa:

Which do colleges look at more? I’m actually worried because I’ve been on sites like Naviance, but then it shows my unweighted gpa in comparison to the gpa that the colleges tend to look for, which then caused me to question which is valued more.
