it just makes me sick. I just got off the phone chatting with my freshman and then read this story. I have no problems…puts everything into perspective quickly. My heart is going out to all of them.
What in heavens name is going on in our society?
The news just reported this is the 45th shooting on a campus this year. 45th through 9 months.
I read 10 dead. Now its 15?? I am still seeing the # as 10 dead, with 20 injuries - How horrible!
I’ve got the tv on, and the state AG said 13 plus the gunman are dead. Fog of war means number will change from original report.
Speechless - because what I want to say will cause a political debate and shut down the thread.
As I read after Sandy Hook, “If the killing of 20 little children didn’t change anything, what will”???
Yes some apparently died en route to the hospital. Tragic.
Of course, the solution is to arm everybody and their cat so that shooters will think twice before opening fire, and gun manufacturers will get richer than God. What could go wrong? 8-|
If I go back and read the postings regarding Sandy Hook, UC-Santa Clara, Seattle Pacific University…etc. I am afraid I will see depressingly similar comments as we now sadly see on this thread.

Of course you will, Lake Washington, because what else is there to say? When literally nothing has changed since Sandy Hook, there’s no possibility that the discourse will change either. We don’t have the collective will to do what’s necessary to change the narrative. Full stop.
Hey, let’s not jump to conclusions before we get all the facts. The gunman may have been defending himself from all those people. (Sad sarcasm alert)

What the heck? Did those “others” tell anyone? If so, were they ignored?
In one report, it says the shooter is dead, and in another it says the shooter is in custody? Maybe he also died after being arrested?
Press conference just confirmed the shooter is dead.
The sheriff that talked at a presser said police confronted the shooter and he was neutralized. One of the reporters asked if he was deceased and he confirmed that.
It truly makes me sick to my stomach. At what point did we just give up? Sandy Hook? SPU? UCSC? Marysville-Pilchuck?
Last night an argument in the parking lot of a local Target ends in gunshots and a young man dead.
