Murder Mystery Parties

I’m gonna be running one sometime this semester. Anyone run one before? Any tips?

I’m thinking of this one called Murder at the Four Deuces (you can look it up - don’t think I can post the link) though I’m open to other recommendations if you’ve got any.

I"ve done a few of these and they are great fun. Just be sure that you understand the order of things - how the mystery unfolds (but don’t look at the ending so there will be a surprise for you as well).
The ones that I did had the host (me) introduce new clues at specific points in the evening. Since I’d looked over all the paperwork carefully, I knew when each thing would happen so all went smoothly.

Everyone needs to come dressed up. This really adds to the fun atmosphere of the party.

And don’t overlook the importance of good food at the party!

This sounds really fun, my H wont go it, but I wonder if I could get my book group to come?

They are really fun. Definitely agree with having people come dressed up and have good food. The one I ran allowed me to tell people ahead of time who their character would be, and so dress accordingly.
