I am a senior this year, and I am stuck on what I could do for my senior project. I do theater and I love music and singing as a hobby and hopefully a profession.
One idea I had was to help the actors in the play I’m doing in school learn the songs and help create the harmonies and who sings where and what. I’m unsure if this is a good idea though…
I also thought about teaching the acting and music to the elementary/middle school nearby. Would that be alright?
Another idea was to do something pertaining to musical therapy and how to help people using music to calm oneself.
Please give me ideas on what to do!
My son is now a freshman BFA student in theater tech and production. For his senior project, he worked on two different plays that were being put on by two other sets of students as their senior projects. The other students did things like production, casting, choreography, etc. as their projects. I am not certain if the actors were able to use it as their projects. He also helped seniors every year that he wasn’t a senior.
If you are talking about working with the regular school play, that wouldn’t count in my district.
My D worked with the special ed students at my son’s elementary school for her project. Music therapy would be a good one - is there a senior center or nursing home near you? They love to have musicians come and play or sing.
