I’ve heard/read somewhere that taking music classes, or even listening to Mozart, for four years could improve your SAT score from as much as 38 points to 100. Can anyone confirm this, or do you think that this is untrue/irrelevant?

Irrelevant.

facepalm

yeahhhhhh…

Well I took the sat once, listened to punk rock for 3 months, and then took it again, improving 130 points in the process.

The only logical conclusion is that punk rock improves your SAT scores.

Yeah, depending on what Mozart piece is your favorite, your SAT score will range anywhere from 2300 to 2400 if you bubble to the rhythm of the music.

Also, try and stay away from rap music, I heard your writing score suffers in the process.

/jokez

This is completely true, but the artist varies. For me, listening to Aaron Carter for the past 5 years earned me a 2380, whereas my friends who all listen to terrible bands like Radiohead only got ~2150s.

try light or slow rock…it helps. the most effective is kenny g. because the saxophone sounds peaceful, and there are no lyrics, so you wont get distracted…
