I am applying to some LAC’s. I have been playing the Sitar ( a complex stringed musical instument), for the last 10 years. I have been training in Indian Classical music and Medieval Raagas for the last 9 years. My question is that would it be considered as an added advantage or a hook ( I suppose this means an extra support)?
I’m applying for a Major in Physics, in:
Connecticut College
Gettysburg
Occidental
Furman
Earlham
And my SAT score are poor 1210 out of 1600! ( I know)
So…

Umm…anyone?

Bump. Bump.

Of course it gives you an advantage. The college people would love to hear something unique, especially something that you clearly show strong interest in.

Unfortunately, its unrelated to physics so it wont be the hook youre looking for.

Its impossible to tell what schools youll get into because youre missing GPA/rec’s/EC’s/etc, but youll be fine.

a 1200 is NOT a bad score. people on this website tend to think it is but forget them, a 1200 plus good grades/EC’s will get you into gettysburg. not sure about the others

Thanks Pandafuzz.
