Hi all! I was wondering if any of you could recommend any MBAs for creatives? For context: I’m about to graduate as an advertising student, and would really like to get into music advertising, but feel like an MBA would really make me a profesional with versatile skills I currently lack. I would really like to work in indie music labels such as Matador, but come from a South American country, so I have no connections lmao. As such, an MBA would really be an added bonus to help me get a foot in the door. So far, I’ve resonated the most with Belmont, as it offers music business electives. Any other recs you could all provide? Thanks!
It’s important to get real world job experience before you get an MBA. That’s where you get the skills you are looking for, not in MBA classes. The music industry tends to be low paying, even for those with MBAs. What is your budget for an MBA?
Assuming you aren’t a US citizen, that will make it even more difficult to get a US company to sponsor you for a job…having an MBA likely won’t make a difference at all.
