Heyy I am currently a college student who is planning to transfer this upcoming year and csula was an option for me. I am a music ed major and was wondering how their music department is in terms of faculty,good education,and peer culture. Any info about their program would be very helpful as i am still deciding where I wanna go 
Im not sure of your primary music genre of interest, so this may not be all that helpful.
Our oldest (classical violinist) took a couple of evening jazz ensemble classes at CSULA. We attended the recital and were very impressed with the quality of the musicians and the experience of the faculty.
Our oldest made some great connections and joined a bluegrass band, now branching out to playing “fiddle”.

It might help to list all your options! Or at least the ones you are considering. 
I do not have personal experience, but I have heard that a lot of the Cal States have great music programs.

I am trying to get into fullerton,Northridge,longbeach,sac sate,and obviously cal state.
