<p>I believe a big part of my acceptance to boarding schools had to do with my numerous piano and flute awards/accomplishments. I portrayed myself to the admissions office as a musical type of person. I had attended a concert band this year that required many hours of rehearsal on Saturday and concerts. I wish to continue this into high school but it may be impossible since there are Saturday classes. I am afraid that I cannot participate in piano competitions anymore too. People who are more athletic have sport teams to participate in. Music has been my “talent” and I want to present it to colleges too but I don’t know how when I’m attending a boarding school. Any advice or experiences?</p>
