Hi, so I have a quick question regarding undergrad applications…I want to get into CC and probably pursue an English or creative writing major. I also love music, though…I’ve played piano for thirteen years but have not demonstrated a drive to pursue music in my extra curriculars…mostly because I developed arthritis in my fingers and stopped competing my freshman year. However, I do still thoroughly enjoy playing piano as a hobby and practice regularly. It says on the Columbia application that if I am interested in contributing to the Columbian fine arts society through extra curriculars that I can submit a supplement of my music. If I do choose to do so, will this help or hurt my application as a whole, considering that I’ve not focused my attention on music throughout high school nor am I hoping to major in music at Columbia?
(most likely I want to apply undecided, liberal arts)

Thanks!
