Music Theater major and Ethnomusicology minor

I have a junior who is interested in music theatre or a school where she can combine theatre, dance, and voice.
Her choir does a lot a world music, and now she has also said she is interested in ethnomusicology as a minor. My quick search showed that as more of a grad school program, although it looked like BU and Indiana have something. Anyone come across this in their searches? Thanks!

Answered you on your other thread: Oberlin, Bard

I think you are asking for a school where your D could major in MT and minor in ethnomusicology. Bard and Oberlin don’t have MT majors. Then again, there are BA schools where one can take voice, dance, and theater courses (majoring in theater) and where there is a minor in ethnomusicology. But there may not be many BFA in MT programs where there is an ethnomusicology minor. Still, one doesn’t have to minor in something to be able to take courses on such subjects (just a thought).

In any case, I will just mention that my D has a friend she went to HS with who was admitted to and attended Emerson College’s BFA in MT program. But after about a year, she changed directions and got into world music and she left the BFA degree program and graduated from Emerson with a focus on world music and took many courses at Berklee College of Music (Emerson students can do that). Now, I am not sure what is possible to combine with their BFA in MT program, but perhaps coursework at Berklee in this area could fit in.

There is an ethnomusicology specialization at NYU. I am not sure if a student can do the BM or BFA degree programs in MT and combine it with ethnomusicology but you could look into that possibility.

IU has one of the strongest ethnomusicology programs in the country, and a fine MT program.

Thanks! She has not decided between BFA MT or BA theatre, and just added the ethnomusicology minor or courses into the mix!
