Musical Theater Summer Camp anyone?

The Broadway Dreams Foundation is an awesome musical theater summer camp for people of all ages. Students get to work with a faculty of Broadways brightest stars. This includes Tituss Burgess(The Little Mermaid),Morgan James(Godspell), Shoshana Bean (Wicked),Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime), Deidre Goodwin(Chicago), Tyler Hanes(A Chorus Line) Matthew Scott(Jersey Boys) ,Kristen Scott(Follies),Jarrod Emick (Damn Yankees) and Alice Ripley (Next to Normal); Tony Award nominees Jodi Benson (Crazy for You), Stephanie J. Block (Mystery of Edwin Drood); Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde), Gavin Creel (Hair) and Andrea McArdle (Annie); Broadway favorites Megan Hilty (“Smash,” 9 to 5), Amanda Watkins (Sweet Charity), BDF alum Blake Daniels (Spring Awakening) and 2013 Tony Award Winner,Billy Porter (Kinky Boots) Our unique programs, which include week-long Summer Performing Arts Intensives, Triple Threat Extreme Workshops and Master Classes, offer highly personalized and supportive coaching, an exciting collaborative learning environment, and ongoing networking to build confidence and life skills which may lead to a life-changing career.

More than 3,000 students have participated in Broadway Dreams programs. Past students have gone on to perform with Broadway, national touring and regional productions including Bring It On: The Musical (Ryann Redmond, Calli Alden), Bare (Ariana Groover), Memphis (Lindsay Roberts), The Book of Mormon (Paris Nesbitt), Shrek (Chase Todd), Evita (Katie Huff), The Addams Family (Ethan Wexler), A Chorus Line (Sidney DuPont) and Spring Awakening (Blake Daniel). There is no better way to grow as a performer while making valuable industry connections than through The Broadway Dreams Foundation.

Working with current stars of broadway shows may be more beneficial for BFA grads than high school grads. I would look at summer camps that have more teachers at BFA programs (which will help you more).

Not necessarily. There are a lot of kids and high-school students as well whose dreams have come true.A young Atlanta Broadway Dreamer was just CAST in VIOLET playing the young Violet (opposite Sutton Foster) and an ALL STAR Broadway cast at Encores in NY.We believe its never to early to start working to make your dreams come true. Just last year we did numbers from Matilda the musical and these kids are just as talented as alot of us who are older. Also most of the vocal directors are teachers from schools such as AMDA or they are vocal teachers. The kids also get to show their stuff in vocal ,dance ,acting, and directing classes. We also have Mary Anna Dennard come in to speak about college auditions. A few colleges also come and give feedback as to what can be worked on and improved.
