<p>well a fermata is placed over a note when it’s meant to be held until stopped by the conductor, and diminuendo/decrescendo is when volume gradually becomes softer.</p>

<p>The very ending of “Losing Time - Grand Finale” by Dream Theater. Though I recommend listening to the whole 42 minute song. A true prog masterpiece.</p>

that’s called playing violin. It’s a regular long note and the performer is just playing softer as the note ends. In all 3 of those, the performer is also using vibrato so maybe you actually like that… I’m not sure why you’re so captivated by this as it’s just regular playing… but that’s good! The world could always use more violin music fans.</p>
