<p>im trying to apply for econ major and this is the last semester i can apply. i will approach 80 units and, therefore, i must take econ 101a but im #20 on the waitlist. should i contact the advisor and explain my situation or just wait? im planning to take the 101 series instead of 100.</p>
<p>You may have to end up taking the 100 series instead. Econ 101A is by nature a small class, so you might not get in being 20 on the waiting list. I highly doubt contacting your advisor will help much; they can’t move you into the class just because you HAVE to apply to the major soon.</p>
<p>You could always contact Card and plead with him.</p>
