My 4 Year Plan

Hello, I am currently an Undergraduate (1st year) student at the University of Georgia. I am a Pre-Business major and I am planning on majoring in Accounting. Right now, I am torn between attending Law School or just sticking with Accounting. So I’m going to do my best to keep my options open, until I decide whether or not Law School is for me. Here is my four year plan:

Year 1: Core Classes, maintain 3.8-4.0 GPA, apply for the UGA Honors Program, play Club Ultimate, maybe find a few organizations I would like to join.
Summer after Year 1: Non-paid Internship at an Accounting Firm (I’m assuming I won’t be able to get a paid internship spot, as I don’t really know much about accounting yet). Be a kid.
Year 2: Finish Core Classes, maintain good GPA, maybe look into Research opportunities, play Ultimate, apply for and hopefully get into Terry (UGA’s B School).
Summer after Year 2: Non-paid internship at a Law Firm, start studying for LSAT.
Year 3: Start taking Upper Level courses, maintain good GPA, play Ultimate, and take the LSAT.
Summer after Year 3: Paid Internship at an Accounting Firm (Big 4 hopefully), keep studying for the LSAT’s if my previous scores weren’t strong.
Year 4: Finish Upper Level courses, finish with at least a 3.8, play Ultimate, take the LSAT for the final time, apply to Law Schools, apply for MaCC programs.
Summer after Year 4: See what Law Schools I get into (hopefully T-14), see if I can get hired at a Big 4 Accounting Firm, see how much Law School will cost me, decisions, decisions, decisions.

How does my plan look? I’m still confused to whether going to Law School is worth it; I’ve heard lot’s of different things. Law School will cost me 100k of debt, plus 3 years of not working, but does it pay off at the end?

Big 4 internships are done between senior and 5th year (MAcc or otherwise). This is done intentionally to avoid hiring interns who want to go to law school. Dont know of any acctg firms that hire rising sophomores even as unpaid.

So…your plan sucks.
