My ACT scores are much higher than my SAT I score.

<p>After going through the red book practice tests, I came out with a composite of 30. My SATs were significantly lower when I took an SAT practice test. How can I raise my SAT I score to a 30-ish range?</p>

<p>I digress, but the ACT is so much more easier to understand than its counterpart…</p>

<p>Grab some SAT study books and go through some tests, that’s about it.</p>

<p>I’m the opposite. On average, my ACT practice test scores tend to be 34 while my PSAT/SAT practice test scores are consistently 230/2300+. Unfortunately, I live in Illinois which is a largely ACT-favored state.</p>

<p>^^ A 34 and a 2300 are practically the same score.</p>

<p>^ 34 goes to 2270 if I remember correctly; so, yeah, they are pretty similar.</p>

<p>Yeah, a 35 is equivalent to a 2340, and a 34 is equivalent to a 2270 or 2280. So, a 2300 is closer to a 34 in terms of equivalence.</p>

<p>Yeah a 2300 is basically a 34.4, which would round down, so yeah they are pretty much equivalent</p>

<p>I also found the mathematics test to be slightly more difficult than the SAT, but direct.</p>

<p>In my experience, the Math section on the ACT is more advanced and more time-constrained, but it requires less reasoning than the SAT’s Math section.</p>

<p>same here. i got an 1860 on the SAT but a 31 on the ACT. I’m sticking with the ACT, trying to raise my score to a 34 through extreme studying (didnt study AT ALL for the first one).</p>

<p>Same for me. 33 on the ACT, 2030 on the SAT. Studied a lot for the SAT, didn’t study once for the ACT</p>

<p>OP, submit the results of the test in which you performed better. Some people tend to better on one, and some on the other. If you do better on the ACT, I’d suggest that you focus your preparation on that test, and take it again in the fall to improve your score (if you want to do that). Colleges and universities accept the ACT and SAT equally.</p>

<p>haha same. 1940 on SAT, 30 on ACT. studied for 4 years for SAT and didn’t study for ACT :P</p>

<p>cheekboy, I hear you. Studied for the SAT like crazy, then went into the ACT and got a 34, at the point I decided to screw the college board and not take their stupid SAT.</p>
