I will be attending the University of Florida this Fall, and I could not be more excited! Please let me know if you have any questions or anything about my applications or anything like that, and I will be sure to answer them.
Thank you! The main reason was merit chasing. I was hoping I would be able to get tons of merit from the smaller, less selective schools. It did work, but none were enough money to persuade me to go them over my top choices. Another reason is all the autoapplys. Niche has a website where the schools basically apply to you, and I got a lot that way. They are marked with a * in the list above.
Another reason I applied to so many is because the budget for me is variable year to year. My parents are helping me out, but my dad is self employed so our income varies a lot. I applied to a wide variety because I was not sure where the budget would end up. But luckly, I don’t really need to worry anymore because my grandparents gave me the college savings they had saved for my dad (he didn’t go to college), and it’s enough to cover 3 years, so I just need to cover a year which is fine. Super thanful to my grandparents, best suprise of my life.
Yeah, I know. I just was uncomfortable going to a school like UNC where your major is not guarenteed and it is quite selective to get into business.
No merit, but OOS tuition is not that bad in comparison to others. I believe I will recieve a grant from them when need based comes out, but no matter what, I have the finanical stuff pretty much figured out.
Yeah, I went overboard with the applications, but i’m glad it all worked out in the end.
