My apology

I was bored all weekend. I enjoyed the laughs and hope you did as well.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/1093817-how-do-i-get-my-parents-buy-me-40-000-car.html

No I think you were serious in that thread, you’re just trying to cover yourself up now.

bl4ke360, that is my impression, as well. It’s pathetic, but some people really think that way. After finding out how unacceptable that attitude is, what else can you do to save face?

Maybe the OP could own it and say something like "wow- I had no idea how my post came across and I learned a lot here. It’s given me real food for thought and reason to pause. " That would be refreshing.

Either way, it is really pathetic.

OP, it’s interesting how you started a similar thread about a month ago about a similar topic. Was that also because you were bored that weekend? It seems to be continuing along.

BLKBOX,
Do you remember the story " The boy who cried wolf"?

Well, I for one got a good laugh and I also used the opportunity to explain to my pre-school aged children that they better start saving now if they want a Lexus. So it was totally worth it for me. Thanks! :D

No need to apologize.
Thanks for chumming the forum.
Some moms are circling and some are maybe interested for their DDs.

I am still driving an Acura TL that I bought new eleven years ago and with two kids in college it is going to have to last a while longer. My older son keeps bugging me to buy him a car. If $40,000 somehow falls into my lap I am buying myself a new Acura and he can have the eleven year old one.
