My Calc BC teacher wrote in my rec that I consistently perform at the "A" level.

<p>I’ll be getting a B for my midyear report. Though I did well on my quarters, I messed up our midterm pretty badly, and the way my school weighs things, it brings my semester grade down to a B. </p>

<p>Should I ask him to write a letter of clarification? Should I do anything at all?</p>

<p>You got a B live with it. It’s youe fualt nobody elses. It not even that big of a deal.</p>

<p>I think you missed the point of the question. It’s the contradiction between his letter and the grade that I am concerned about. This isn’t my first B. </p>

<p>Personally, I would just leave it. You are not responsible for your teacher’s opinion. And maybe admissions will see it that you always perform at an A level, but there must have been a fluke that you are getting a B.</p>

<p>Another way to look at it, an additional clarification could actually hurt you. It could bring attention of the admission people to something that may have been seen as anomaly and understandable chain of events.</p>

<p>It’s not a big deal. Your teacher was just trying to get the point across that you are a great student…not that you will always and forever get straight As. Colleges understand people aren’t perfect…they won’t hold it against you.</p>
