my chance at top schools

Hello I am a sophomore in high school. I am looking at UVA, Carnegie Mellon, university of Chicago, NYU, Trinity (Conn.) Umass Amherst, Hamilton, university of Wisconsin, James Madison and Wheaton college in Massachusetts. I live in Massachusetts and I am a legacy at trinity. My GPA is a 4.0 unweighted and a 4.5 weighted (all A’s). I take all honors classes and Will be taking ap English, ap Pre Calc and ap psychology come junior year. I am looking to play soccer and/or hockey in college. What do you think my chances are at these schools and what should I improve on.

Impossible to chance you at the moment. Wait a year or two. You need more extracurriculars. Keep up the good grades.

If you don’t have the test scores, some of the schools on your list might become out of reach.

Have you taken the SAT/ACT yet? If you are recruited for soccer and get a 2150/32+ you could expect to get into UVA, Carnegie, and Chicago pretty easily. But UVA is D1 and the others are D3 so I’m not sure how the athletic component will play out exactly

As of now, you look pretty good. Keep doing what you’re doing and get a good SAT/ACT score

What schools would you say are matches, reaches …etc.

No score, no chance.

With a 4.0 all of them are matches. But if your SAT scores is a 1000 then errrrr. So scores do matter to some effect
