My chances at Princeton?

Hey!

I’m finishing my junior year, and the mess with college applications, etc., is heating up.
Well, I’m a Colombian/Hispanic, got here about 6 years ago.
I’ve into computers since I got here, having a fair knowledge of advanced C++ techniques by now, etc.
I attend a high school, which only enrolls Juniors and Seniors (some other GPA requirements, passing of the CPT, etc), called the School for Adv. Studies (SAS). It as received a fair amount of recognition etc. as far as I know, and I’d venture in to say it is the best one in the county.
What’s special about it is that it’s located inside the Miami Dade College’s campus, and it allows us to select at least 3 college classes per semester (and we are taught 3 mandatory high school classes: English, History, Math).
(Just to give you an example of how a year looks like:) In this Junior year which is about to end in ~2 weeks, I took the following classes:
AP English Language and Composition
AP US History
AP Calculus AB
and for college classes:
(graduation requirements had to be met first)
Fundamentals of Speech Communication
Italian I
Italian II
— 2nd Sem:
Statistical Methods
Gen. Chemistry & Quantitave Analysys
Lab
Advanced C++ Programming

Now I’ll just list all the classes I’ve taken and am currently taking over summer (DC = Dual Enrollment + SAS college classes )

Honors English II

Plans for next year:

DC - Lab

DC - Differential Equations 2

DC - Lab
DC - (Adv. C++ OOP? Assembly programming? […]?)

GPA (grades for our spring term college classes are yet to be added to our records)
Unweighted: 3.7?
Weighted: 4.8-9?

SAT scores:
Math: 800 is easily in my reach
Reading: I think I need (and could be able to get) at LEAST a 600 (planning to study and get prepared quite a bit over this summer). English/Reading is definitely not my fort

I think you have as good of a chance as anyone. However, you have an interesting life story and you should use that to your advantage–i.e. write about it in an essay. Good luck!

Hey. =). Sorry I’m not helping out with chances and all, but I just wanted to jump in and say I’m also from Colombia. Probably not gonna be a major part of my app because I was born here and have lived a decently average middle class life, but I’ve been back and seen it, as my parents moved over here and still have family back there. So hi! :D
