I am going to be applying for Engineering, possibly Chemical, most likely undecided.

Extracurriculars (Ugh, this will kill me)

Junior State of America, pretty much a student-run Debate Team. I am President of my school’s chapter, in charge of 40 or so people attending conventions in Madison, Chicago, and Washington DC.

Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering. A science competition team, I will be on Varsity next year.

I may join our school’s Robotics team, my friend is in charge and could possibly get me some kind of position in it. I dunno if that helps at all lol.

Employment

None. I’m lazy.

Volunteering

I tutor at my school’s Literacy Center for 3 hours/week. I did it all junior year and will continue through senior year. I will have 200+ hours by graduation.

Honors/Awards (I’m not quite sure how many of these will be relevant)

-I had a 219 on my PSAT, which means I qualify for one of the upper levels of the National Merit Scholar competition. I will definitely be applying to become a finalist.
-Summa Cum Laude - my school’s award for a consecutive GPA >4.25.
-Silver Test Tubes. An award given by my school’s Chemistry department to the highest grade in each class. I have five of them, one for every semester of Chemistry I took.
-Chemistry Olympiad. I qualified for the Regional (never got to Nationals) finals in both the first/second levels (Freshman year Chemistry and A.P. Chemistry).

High School

Naperville North High School
Naperville, Illinois
Class Rank (Unranked, our school abolished rank) - Top 5% most likely
There are approximately 800 kids in my class

BTW, if it helps, I’m a White male.
