My chances? Best possible school?

What is the best possible school I can get into?
Application fees can add up, so I want to know so I can spare myself from applying to schools to which I have no chance of being accepted.

My stats:
GPA: 4.165 (unweighted), 4.515 (weighted)
ACT: 34
SAT: 2290
AP’s: I’ve taken 3, gotten 5’s on two of them and a 4 on the third
EC’s: a President and VP position, as well as a couple more minor leadership positions in some other clubs. I’ve been involved in quite a few clubs, as well. I also volunteer 3 hours per week.
I’m a national qualifying debater and I’ve been a state finalist for 3 years. I’ve also received a silver and bronze in the National Spanish exam, and a gold in the National Latin Exam.
I’m a National Merit Commended Scholar
I’m an AP Scholar

Where do you live? What are you President of? and how do you have a 4.165 unweighted GPA?
I can help you out after that (:

I live in Indiana. I’m President of my school’s Muslim Student Association (We mostly organize fundraisers for war-stricken or impoverished areas - e.g. last year, Somalia during the drought, this year, Syria during the civil war… we also have 3 annual events that are directly related to religion)
I’m VP of my Debate team.
And my school is strange in that our unweighted GPA system is different… for example, a 3.7 is an A-, a 4.0 is an A, and a 4.3 is an A+. It’s explained on my transcript, I believe.

I’ll recommend UVA just cause I wanna go there. UCLA or Michigan maybe? Were there any you had in mind?

Also, my class rank is 2/600. But my GPA and the GPA of the individual who is first in our class are the highest GPA’s our school has had in several years, according to my counselor.
And, I don’t really know yet. I might just go to the best school I get into. By the way, thanks!

I’m also in National Honor Society. Minor detail, I guess.

edit: Do I have a chance of getting into any ivy league schools? If so, which ones?

bump
I tried to make it easier with my edit (above) - any input at all would be wonderful.

Best School? Man, you are Ivy material i would be suprised if you didnt get into one of them =)

Apply to a few, your chances are pretty good

…bump…

Definitely apply to some Ivies, you have high chances of acceptance. Try other top universities too.

Also, take SAT II’s!

weighted is a theoretical max of 5.3, unweighted is a max of 4.3

Regarding your AP courses, in which subjects did you get a 4,5,5? When did you take them? Which other subjects did you take in junior year? What are you taking in senior year? What do you want to study?

As everyone else is suggesting, you should think about taking a couple of SAT Subject Tests.

I got a 4 in APUSH sophomore year, and a 5 in Gov and a 5 in Bio junior year.

My course load both years has been most rigorous. If a required class is offered as an honors, AP, or IB class, I take it.

And I’m also planning on majoring in Poly Sci and possibly eventually attending law school.

There are a lot of vals and sals who take the most rigorous courses from mediocre high schools, that do not get admitted to the top unis. So, it is not just about taking the most rigorous courses. You should also try to demonstrate an ability to handle heavy course loads comparable to the academic difficulty you will encounter in college with the help of more standardized test scores. The two AP 5s are good. You SAT and ACT also reflect on math, reading, writing skills. Try to use the SAT Subject Test to demonstrate your competency in the rest of the junior year courses.

Well the problem is it is really hard to name a school just based on your stats - you have to show an interest in particular schools that have structured programs that would help you grow intellectually. Id love to help if you can give a small list of potential schools that you would like to be a part of!
