<p>Take the ACT and see what you get on it you might score better than on the SAT. Otherwise focus on the SAT and try to get your scores up.</p>

<p>no im not ill im actually quite lucid. i think ur post is outrageous…you make a statement and yet you dont back it up and fall back on ad hominem. the reason i think the sat2’s mean alot more is because they show individual skill in a specific area. for example, in my case english is not my first language so i didnt do extremely high on the sat but got an 800 in spanish, a 790 in chem and a 780 in bio and i really think that helped out my chances of admission and ameliorated my chances of getting in and i did! dont worry about your difficulties in a specific test. standardized testing is all a bunch of BS if you ask me. rice wants to see you as a whole person…not just a number. do something that sets you out…something special and unique that way you can shine. good luck man.</p>

<p>excel - I think one of several things going for you is your devotion to music, especially in an unusual area (percussion). You clearly devote serious hours to this ec both in and out of school, and you have expanded this ec to include cultural activities. This will be a plus in the eyes of most admissions committees. (And I’m not just saying this because I’m the mom of a percussionist. :-)</p>
