<p>I live in Puerto Rico and my mother is puerto rican while my father is bolivian. My GPA is 4.02 up until 11th grade and right know I have a 4.62 GPA in 12th. I have taken all the advanced and AP courses available to me and my SAT score was 1700 (first try without preparing). I am taking the SAT a second time in Nov. 5 and feel pretty confident that my scores will improve significantly. I participated in the NHS from 7th to 9th grade but in 10th grade I decided not to enter even though I was invited because I play soccer for a team and, as team captain, I am required to assist to all my practices which are 2-3 times a week plus tournaments. I have participated in many volunteer works such as helping at a school for students with special needs (i.e. down syndrome). I wanted to ask all of you what my chances were for getting admitted into these universities. Thanks in advance.</p>

<p>For the super-selective schools like Stanford, you probably want to have a very high GPA and 700+ in each section of the SAT to avoid trivial rejection. But even with such credentials, the chance of admission is low for anyone, because the super-selective schools get thousands of applicants with very high GPAs and 700+ in each section of the SAT.</p>

<p>With a 1700, I doubt it. With a 2100+ (if you get it), now you’re starting o look at a chance.</p>
