As well I will be in their NROTC

Also, I can get recommendations from high ranking Air Force officers and I am a very good writer so I can write a pretty good admissions essay.

Is that your unweighted GPA or weighted? If it’s unweighted, that’s good. If it’s weighted than you might want to push yourself higher. Also, UF is really competitive so 21 on ACT will not help you at all. I suggest you study harder, spending at least an hour on an ACT prep book for a month and a half to two months before taking the next ACT exam. I know you can do it! Good luck!

Unfortunately, I would say very little chance with a 21 ACT.

My kid raised his ACT from a 31 to a 34 with zero studying, so take it again asap.

You really need to get it up to a 29 or so.

If not, I would say FSU, USF, and UCF might be better bets.

UF is very hard to get into nowadays.

However, that being said, I have no idea whether being in ROTC would be a sufficient “hook” for you to get in.

I commend you for being involved in ROTC. And you can be a success in life without going to a tip top school.

You might want to look at “SAT optional” schools. There is a list out there somewhere.
