Deaf BrylinMoyGyeroy: First and foremost, do not be scared. Actually, the time to be “scared” is when you can do something about your profile, which is your junior year. Since too few juniors are actively participating in this site, by the time you are on College Confidential, the dice have already been played.

Onto your profile : You present an extremely well balance portfolio of activities with a clear commitment to music and some sports to back that up. You do not offer an High School club information which was the lone mark on the entire social aspect of your profile.

Regarding music, have you contacted the BC music program for an audition as part of their programs? It might help your application chances.

As for your grades, we would assume that your High School GPA at 3.998 is weighted given that you are in the 13% percentile. (Otherwise, your school has one of the most serious cases of grade inflation I have seen in some time!) You two-way SAT at 1280 is below the midpoint of the regular admission pool, much less early action. Your three-way score at 2020 is more in keeping with BC’s scores, but still on the cusp. Your ACT score at 28 will not qualify you for admission in either pool.

Your biggest asset will be your attraction to Russian language studies, but selection of a major at this early stage might not be enough for BC.

Without discussion already with BC’s music programs, you will be deferred from the early action pool and be midpack in the regular decision pool. If you have met with BC’s music program, your chances might be improved if they liked your audition.
