Hi, I was just wondering from students who currently attend these schools / have qualifications similar to mine / positive feedback or suggestions

I’m currently a senior at one of the most selective and rigorous college prep schools in not only California, but the country as well…
My courses:
AP Statistics
AP World History

…Ending junior year I had a 3.3 but that does not take into account the economics course I took this past summer (or my senior grades either)

-from Los Angeles

The Schools…
urban environment, strong: study abroad program/international relations, expansive language offerings, DIVERSITY, a real sense of school community; strong liberal arts curriculum

UPenn
NYU
Princeton
U of Chicago
Georgetown
George Washington
Emory
Brown
American
William/Mary
Northwestern
Tufts
Johns Hopkins
Boston University

Princeton =/= urban. Why not Columbia if you’re looking at NYU?

idk…for some reason I was really interested in Columbia for two years, then I went on a college tour this spring break… and I was kind of bored…but I just came from a three hour NYU visit & a long plane ride…
I think i will reconsider it… it has a strong intnl relations program ?

yeah princeton isnt…neither is northwestern…they are exceptions! i fell in love with the campus and the schools when i went on a college tour!

Penn has the broadest selection of languages, great liberal arts, great school spirit (at least compared to the other schools). On and the IR program is top notch. The wharton school offers several international business/management courses that count towards the IR major. They really broaden your perspective on IR beyond traditional government-centric thinking.

harvard-westlake?

yeah…weird how you knew that haha…how did you guess???

what is the “ON” program??

I know a girl here at Penn who went there. She had a way of saying how great it was ALL the time. Ever so slightly snobbish ;-)

haha sounds like a HW girl to me… ha…what are you majoring in at penn?

I would almost consider Northwestern to be urban, or at least it has the resources of a city readily available. I live in the city and drive to Evanston all the time in like 10 minutes. Evanston itself is fairly densely populated, albeit small.

yeah same here, its sooo close to the city its practically an “urban” school
