my chances of any of the above?

<p>The colleges I’m going to look at are: Will and Mary, Princeton, Brown, Georgetown, Colgate, UVA, Dartmouth, and possibly Boston College and Vanderbilt. What do you think my chances might be to get into any of them, especially with financial aid? (current sophomore, so most of this is planned)</p>

<p>GPA: 4.0 out of 4.0
AP: World History, US History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Government, English, French, Calculus 1 and 2 (I haven’t received and scores yet, but these are the classes that I am taking)
SAT: Freshmen year: 600 CR; 580 Math; 570 Writing; I retook my old test this year and scored a 780 in math, 760 in CR, and 750 in Writing, but it was a practice test so however you want to base it
SAT II: I’m taking World History, Math II, and probably Biology, shooting for upper 700s on all of them
Class Rank: 3/178
Major/Minor: Biology/Creative Writing
Those things: white and female</p>

<p>Sports: Tennis, Varisty for 3 years, JV for 1, shooting for a top spot junior and senior year (1 or 2 on team). Might look into tennis scholarhips; Softball: JV 2 years, Varsity 2 years
Clubs: French Club, School Ambassador, Student Government, Play Music for the School Masses, Debate Team, Respect Life, Literary Magazine, Key Club
Upcoming: I’m almost through the screening for a PAL leader, which is like a student counselor kind of thing for juniors and seniors, and I qualify for NHS, NLHS, and MHS</p>

Went to Jr. NYLC in D.C. in 7th grade
Started a recycling program in my middle school
Might possibly (I’d LOVE to) go to a Cambridge Study Program and take classes for 3 weeks next summer in England
High school recieves national awards
Job: I’m starting to design web sites for companies in the summer</p>

<p>I don’t think I’m missing anything. Basically I’m looking at a lot of colleges over the summer and my parents are freaked out about costs/financial aid because its really hard for us to qualify for need-based. Thank you so much if you read this (:</p>

<p>The Ivies are a bit of a reach(well they are for everyone haha), but since you seem to be a very well rounded person, I’m sure you can get into 90% of those other top notch universities and colleges. Make sure you maintain and increase your rank and try to earn some state-level and aim for national- level awards in some area. Oh, I juts saw the Scholastic Gold Key award, I’m not sure what that is, so if you could elaborate…? Also, your SATs are extremely good for a sophomore, so keep up the good work and aim for a 2400. If you get at least a 2300+ on the real SAT, you’ll definitely have awesome chances at ALL of those schools. </p>

<p>I’d also like to thank you, because I’m just a freshman and I’ve done somewhat higher than you on the SATs(670M 580CR 620W), so your score increase has really inspired me! thanks! You’re on the right path, so just keep up the good work. I don’t know how much a freshman’s word would mean to you, but after spending time on these various CC forums, I’ve gotten acclimated to using words like “acclimated” and doing a decent job at “Chance Me” threads. Best of Luck to you in the years to come! :)</p>

<p>Thanks (: I forgot to mention that I’ve been playing piano for 7 years and will continue until the end of high school.</p>

<p>The Scholastic Gold Key is from Scholastic Publishers, they do contests every year for both writing and art, and pick only a few thousand gold keys from tens of thousands of applicants. I got one for a short story freshmen year and poetry this year. I’m not sure if my one for this year moved on for higher awards yet, maybe I’ll find out soon. And I also sent in a novel this year to a similar contest, but I won’t hear back until next month (the anxiety haha)</p>
