<p>I have a 94 GPA (unweighted). Orphaned, underepresented Minority from the South Bronx in one of the worst schools in the state. 1270 SAT(kinda low but it is the highest in the history of the school). hopefully they will take into account the “GOOD” education I have recieved. what are my chances to get into Yale ED and * Amherst C

<p>I am shoo in for Hamilton taking into account that last year’s valedictorian got in with an 1100 a 91 GPA and very few EC. Our calc teacher is an alumni.</p>

<p>You have a lot to write about in your essays and talk about in the interview. It seems your life has been tough, and if you let the admissions officers know of this, you could get in on pity and admiration points. It seems you are a great student, and your glowing rec’s should look great in the app. Yale is not out of reach for you–nor is any school on your list.</p>
