AUGirl or anyone else? any idea what the incoming freshman stats look like for Marine Science?

My stats are: what are your thoughts?

OOS

4.1 W GPA (core courses only)

14 honors & 2 AP’s

1070 sat math and CR - total 1610

class rank in top 16% (38 of 251)

lot’s of sports and EC’s

Based upon what I have been reading and hearing, if you are an instate student you would be a shoe-in with a decent SAT/ACT. Out of state student, maybe not so certain. It seems that they are being much more choosey about out of state students.

Your SAT is a little low. It has you in the bottom 50% for acceptance rates, but about 85% of people are accepted with your GPA. You’re ranked pretty high in your class.

If you’re in state, I’d say you’d be getting in. If you’re out of state, it’s iffy, but I wouldn’t doubt it.

My GPA was a lot lower than yours (3.43 weighted), but my SAT was a bit higher than yours (1230)… So I’d say based on my own results, you’d get in, but I’m also in state.

thanks! I checked the application credentials page today and now all of my materials (SAT, transcripts, etc.) and dates received that were shown at the bottom of the page are gone. There’s still the same message as before though “thank you for applying, blah, blah”

what do you think that means?

btw… I applied after the deadline for fall 2011. I did call admissions before I submitted my app and they did say they woud accept for review.
