i suck at standardized testing in general. But have great grades…speckled with a few bs here and there. All AP classes. Lots of solid ECs. English is my things, so hopefully essays will be really good. should have 2 extraordinary recs from teachers and at least 1 extraordinary rec from outside source (pastor). 3 solid hooks. if i make all a’s my senior year my gpa will be a 4.7

Possible ED choice.

Hey! You seem really qualified, however your math score on the SAT is really low for Columbia (no offense). The middle 50% of accepted students had between a 700-790. An 1890 is a really great SAT score, but you really need a 2080 or better for Columbia, but if you’re really interested in applying you may want to do ED!

None Taken! I’ve been working all summer on my math score, so hopefully there will be a huge increase when i take it in October. And my plan is to ED. Hands Down. I love this school.

your sat scores are low you need a 2100 at least to have a shot

without at doubt i will.

The two most important things that you can do right now is getting those SAT scores higher and working hard on those essays. I know studying for the SAT may seem enough, but don’t blow off those essays - they can really make or break you app! Good luck :)

our avg SAT score is around 2250. try the ACT

First, I’d like to just say that I’m viewer 1000 of this thread! As for the chances, you have a decent shot, just get up that SAT score or, as herroyerro said, try the SAT

UPDATE: managed to get my SAT scores way WAy Way up. Will be attending Columbia University in Fall 2012. :)))))))))

OMG congratz girl! :D

thank you!
